Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I park?

If you live in the Sunset Beach area and weather permits, we highly encourage you to ride your bike.  Otherwise, there are usually several spaces on the street in front of 58-045 Kapuai Place.  Otherwise, use street parking where available.  We kindly ask you to be mindful of our neighbors and avoid blocking anyone's driveway.

Do you offer discounts for military, teachers, and first responders?

Yes!  We offer 10% off our class and private session packages or drop-ins for the individual.

What should I wear?

For all classes other than Aqualates and AquaFit, please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in.  For all classes in the pool, wear a supportive bathing suit or swim trunks, with water shoes (optional-personal preference).  We ask that you wear grip socks to all equipment classes for your safety and hygiene. Tennis shoes or bare feet are recommended for HIIT classes.

Do you offer a trial membership?

We offer an introductory package for private and semi-private Pilates, Gyrotonic, and Personal Training, Another for group mat/aqua classes as well as an equipment group class intro pack. These are for new clients who can provide proof of residency:

What is your cancellation policy?

To avoid being charged for a missed session, we ask clients to cancel their booking online prior to 23 hours before the start time of a private session or group class.  See our Policies section, below.  

How many sessions a week should I take to experience results?

Pilates, Gyrotonic, yoga, you name it- just like all other fitness systems, should be done a minimum of 3 times per week. However, to further improve your body's strength, flexibility and endurance, you can do up to 4 or 5 classes a week. We recommend commiting to at least 3 sessions a week for the first 6 weeks, then assessing how you feel.

Can children take class?

Teenagers 13 and up are welcome if they want to be there and take the class seriously. 

Do I need to bring my own mat?

We offer mats for group mat pilates classes.  We highly encourage clients attending yoga classes to bring their own mats and towels.  We do have a limited number of yoga mats which guests may rent for $2 per class.


Late Cancellation Policy

You will be charged in full for any cancellations made less than 23 hours in advance. This policy will be enforced.  If you are unsure of whether you will be able to attend a scheduled session, we advise that you cancel the session in advance over the NSG&P MINDBODY webpage. If it turns out you want to return to your originally scheduled time, you may TEXT us at ‪(808) 295-5688 (preferred) or call us to see if the spot is still open.

Rescheduling of Appointments

There is no same-day rescheduling or changing your appointment.  If you need to reschedule an appointment, please give us at least 23 hours notice. We will do our best to move your session to a more convenient day or time. Please note that we cannot reschedule appointments for the same day; if you contact us to reschedule within 23 hours of your appointment, you will still be charged for that missed session. If you need to make changes to your existing schedule, please use the MINDBODY NSG&P website.


Semi-private Cancellation Policy

If your duet partner needs to cancel more than 23 hours in advance, and you would like to have a private session, you may use two of your duet sessions from your package to pay for the private session (unless you have a separate package of private sessions).  If your partner cancels less than 23 hours in advance or doesn’t show up for the session, they will be charged for their portion of the duet, and you will be charged only the semi-private rate for your session. In essence, the partner who attends the lesson will not be penalized for the partner that cancels late or does not show.

Class Policy

Classes taught by instructors who are NOT the owner (Ashley Burnett) will run with a two-person minimum. If you are the only person signed up for a class taught by someone other than Ashley, you will be notified in advance and given the option to cancel or use two class credits for a discounted private session. Class sign-ups are subject to the same 23-hour cancellation policy as other services.


Expiration of Packages.

Drop- in: expiration 1 month from date of purchase.

8 pack: expiration 3 months from date of purchase.

12 pack: expiration 4 months from date of purchase.

Kama'aina Intro 3 Pack: expiration 1 month from date of purchase.



All sales are final. No refunds will be given on package purchases. An extension of the expiration period may be granted in cases of emergency, medical leave, or military orders.


Attendance Policy.

If you cancel more than 30% of your standing appointments in any 90-day period, you may be asked to forfeit your standing appointment time on the recurring schedule.
